We proudly announce the release of the Tomoyasu Hotei Signature Model, the Zodiac NEO Eternal Legacy HOTEI Model, set for winter 2024. Based on Hotei’s main guitar, which he has played and modified throughout his artistic career, this new model has been designed to meet the latest specifications requested by Hotei.
The reinvention process began with a careful revisit of the guitar’s headstock and body shape, the string tension maintained by the tuners, and the placement of the bridge that captures string vibrations—all tailored to Hotei’s distinctive playing style.
It is equipped with customized tuned pickups, EMG-SA [Hotei Tune], which flawlessly covers everything from cutting rhythms to solos, and GOTOH SG381-07-BC-L6 MG-T(EXL6) tuners for reliable performance. The custom-designed Zodiac NEO ZNB-1 bridge, machined from brass for a substantial profile and engraved with the Zodiac NEO logo, captures and efficiently translates string vibrations to the body, resulting in enhanced resonance and sustain.
With its exquisite vintage-white binding and the iconic body lines, uniquely formulated in an aged-white finish, every detail of this instrument highlights the thoughtful design and refined touches of Tomoyasu Hotei and master builder Tsutomu Hariki.
